Girls basketball: Mark Morris 55, Ridgefield 34

A 23-point third quarter carred the host Monarchs to the 2A Greater St. Helens League win.

Ridgefield held a 14-13 lead before Mark Morris scored the last six points of the first half. The Spudders then went scoreless for more than six minutes at the start of the third quarter as the Monarchs took command.

Ten players scored for a balanced Mark Morris offense as the Monarchs (11-6, 8-1) kept pace with Washougal atop the league standings. Kylie Greenwald’s eight points topped the scoring for Ridgefield (8-10, 3-7).
