SEATTLE — A crowd of employees, families and retirees gathered at Boeing Field to mark the company’s 100th anniversary as historical planes from the company’s history stood nearby.
The gathering Friday, which featured civilian airplanes from the 707 to the 787 as well as historic warplanes, was part of the aerospace giant’s celebration of its founding.
The company, which has gone from building aircraft in a barn to employing more than 150,000, has major production in Everett and Renton.
