Union grad Allbee on Great West League all-star team

Jacob Allbee has been named to the Great West League All-Star Game.

Allbee, a 2015 Union High School graduate, pitches for the Portland Pickles. He has seven saves in 12 appearances with a 3.13 earned-run average. In 23 innings, he has 23 strikeouts and six walks.

The Great West League is a six-team summer league for collegiate baseball players. Allbee will be a sophomore at Clark College.

Other Clark County players on Portland’s roster include McKinley Lefore and Rian Bassett.

Lefore (Camas) is 3-2 with a 4.15 ERA and 22 strikeouts. He has logged a team-high 39 innings in six starts.

Bassett (Columbia River) has a 2.17 ERA and 19 strikeouts in four starts.

The Great West League All-Star Game will be in Medford, Ore., on July 26.
