Pullman – Pullman police are investigating reports that several Washington State University football players were involved in a brawl that sent two students to the hospital and injured several others.

Cmdr. Chris Tennant said police have confirmed that players were at the party but not if they were involved in the brawl early Saturday.

Witnesses told police that a group began throwing firecrackers at a student party. The group was asked to leave, and a fight started. The fight left one student unconscious with a head wound and another with a broken jaw that required reconstructive surgery. Tennant said two other people were injured.
