Camas — Art students from Camas High School worked with members of the Downtown Camas Association and the city to bring some color to street intersections that frame the Camas Farmers Market, which is on Northeast Fourth Avenue between Northeast Everett Street and Northeast Franklin Street. Brianna Cloutier, a member of the school’s Integrated Arts and Academics program, designed the emblem, which is a circle of green leaves similar to those seen in the market’s logo and a gold star with the city’s name in the center. Members of the program joined in the street painting. The Integrated Arts and Academics program is in its second year at Camas High School, and it merges students’ passion for the visual and performing arts with academics “to cultivate critical thinking, creativity and community as they prepare for college, any career field and life,” according to the program’s website.
