A woman was stabbed in the arm and stomach in downtown Vancouver early Saturday morning, sending her to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The suspect in the case, Erin Lauris Fee, 37, of Vancouver is being held at the Clark County Jail pending first-degree assault charges.

According to police reports, Fee approached a group of people outside Boomer’s Sports Bar and Grill at 611 Main St. around 1:15 a.m. Fee then “caressed” a man’s face randomly, said Officer Eric McCaleb of the Vancouver Police Department, which caused the man’s girlfriend to confront Fee.

“They started exchanging words, and then (Fee) pulled out a knife and stabbed the female victim,” McCaleb said.

Several people tackled Fee and held her until police arrived, McCaleb said.

Fee is scheduled to appear in Clark County Superior Court on Monday at 9 a.m.
