PORTLAND — A Portland company at the center of air pollution concerns faces a $300 fine for dumping shards of glass into city sewers.

The fine for Bullseye Glass was issued earlier this month. Bureau of Environmental Services spokesman Linc Mann says the company has told the city it does not intend to appeal.

Records show Bullseye illegally dumped large shards of glass in April.

The discovery reportedly came after city inspectors found high levels of selenium and sediment in the sewer where Bullseye’s storm water drains. Selenium can be toxic to fish and other aquatic life in high amounts.
