Letter: Interchange multiplies exit length

What were they smoking when they designed the 18th Street/Mill Plain exit off Interstate 205? It starts over a mile north of Mill Plain and ends up in the same old three lanes for the turns.

The only thing I can see in its favor is that it pretty much eliminates a mile-long exit backup on the freeway. How often this occurs is unknown to me — I’ve never seen one that big.

Is there a secret route off 18th to bypass Chkalov Drive? Please inform us.
