• Creative agency AHA has added three new directors to its Portland-area team. Rene Huey-Lipton has been named director of strategy and insight. She was formerly executive vice president at market research firm BrainJuicer and senior vice president of marketplace planning at advertising agency GSD&M. Alicia Katzman and Pashington Obeng have been hired as account directors. Katzman comes to the agency from Havas Edge, and Obeng formerly worked for Adidas and Wieden+Kennedy.

• Brandon Zarzana has been appointed finance manager-treasurer of the Columbian Publishing Co. Zarzana, 37, will lead the company’s accounting, credit, investment and purchasing functions, and help to guide its strategic planning. He replaces Doug Ness, who recently retired after 31 years with the company. A Vancouver native and graduate of Washington State University Vancouver, Zarzana has worked at The Columbian since 1997. He has been a district manager and outside sales manager in the circulation department, and served as a senior accountant and controller.
