A man showed up at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the arm early Sunday morning, following a birthday party where Portland police say a gunfight broke out between rival gang associates.

On Monday afternoon, gang crime detectives were still investigating the shooting, which occurred at the Rosewood Community Center at 16126 S.E. Stark St. in Portland.

More than two dozen shots were fired, and four people were hurt. The man, 19, arrived at PeaceHealth in a private vehicle.

A 15-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man also were hurt. Police said Saturday night that they didn’t think any of the victims’ wounds were life-threatening.

Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said the 19-year-old man told officials at the hospital that he didn’t know what happened.

Portland police did not release the victims’ names because the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made in the case, and the Portland Police Bureau said it had no suspect information to share.

Officials asked anyone with information about the case to contact either Detective Jeff Pontius at 503-823-2081 or jeffery.pontius@portlandoregon.gov, or Detective Todd Teats at 503-823-2137 or todd.teats@portlandoregon.gov.
