A Portland woman made a first appearance Tuesday in Clark County Superior Court for allegedly beating and robbing a woman she met at a bar.

Hollee A. Dewald, 25, faces an allegation of first-degree robbery in connection with the Feb. 18 attack.

Leicee Roberts, told police she was socializing with Dewald at the Owl’s Nest, a bar at 11875 N. Jantzen Beach Drive in Portland, and that Dewald agreed to give her a ride home to Vancouver, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Superior Court.

Dewald passed the exit from state Highway 500 to take Roberts home and drove to the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 4000 block of Plomondon Street. She then allegedly struck Roberts in the face several times and pulled her purse from her lap, the affidavit said.

Roberts fell from the vehicle during the assault, she said, and Dewald and an unidentified person made off with multiple electronics and $1,000 in cash, court records show.

Vancouver police said Roberts suffered a bruised and bloodied face and forefinger in the attack, according to court documents.

Roberts subsequently identified Dewald as her assailant in a photo lineup, the affidavit said. Dewald was later arrested by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office on an unrelated Department of Corrections warrant.

During her hearing, Judge Gregory Gonzales appointed Dewald an attorney and set her bail at $75,000.

She will be arraigned March 29.
