Yacolt — Clark County will host a Green Neighbors Recycling Day event 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 9 in the parking lot at Yacolt Primary School, 406 W. Yacolt Road, Yacolt.

County residents can bring block foam, electronic equipment, tires without rims, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning units and scrap metal to be recycled. There is a limit of five tires per person.

No business waste or household hazardous waste will be accepted. Household hazardous waste includes paints, pesticides, poisons, automotive fluids and chemicals.

Green Neighbors, a Clark County Department of Environmental Services program, will sponsor the event along with the town of Yacolt. Recycling Day events are free and open to all Clark County residents. Proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or other identification with an address, might be required.

There will be collection events taking place later this year in Camas, Ridgefield, La Center, Washougal and Vancouver. For more information, go to www.clarkgreenneighbors.org/recyclingday.html.
