Letter: Waste, litter reside as neighbors

By
Published:

I am very concerned about the human waste being discharged without being treated and going directly into our streams and waterways. Campsites and derelict RVs without access to proper disposal are a disease outbreak just waiting to happen. Each time I walk on public property, I am subject to these substances being tracked into my home as well as any indoor facility I happen to visit.

The issue of litter being tossed improperly is just as toxic to our environment, and the residue from syringes as well as the needle danger are also extremely serious for the general population.

All of our city and county leaders are not doing enough to solve this problem. So, please, will you act as an advocate for our waterways and general health issues in their stead?
