BINGEN — Insitu, a Boeing subsidiary in the Columbia River Gorge, announced a partnership Tuesday to bring drone technology to commercial markets.
The aerospace company based in Bingen is joining forces with North Carolina’s PrecisionHawk to provide “business intelligence support for commercial operations, including asset protection, property preservation, safety enhancement and environmental monitoring,” according to a press release.
“This alliance ensures that more businesses will explore what unmanned technology can offer,” said Ryan M. Hartman, Insitu president and CEO.
Insitu has held U.S. defense contracts since 2004 and serves military, commercial and civil customers around the world.
