Letter: Ironic if ‘Mr. Transparency’ isn’t

I experienced a bit of schadenfreude when I read of the latest regarding David Madore in the April 29 story “Planning director files lawsuit against Clark County.” I’m no lawyer, but it seems if Community Planning Director Oliver Orjiako’s allegations are true, then “Mr. Transparency” just might be guilty of violating RCW 40.16.010, which is a law prohibiting “injury to the public record.”

As many people who have tried to interact with Madore via Facebook know, Madore loves to control the flow of information. Much of what he posts on his so-called “Political Organization — Newspaper” Facebook page is riddled with lies of omission. He likes to ban people who question his actions from communicating with him, thereby removing himself from accountability to all of council District 3 residents.

So it seems that Madore’s arrogance and sense of entitlement has gotten the better of him. I hope justice is swift and certain. If any crimes were committed by him, then Madore should be prosecuted and penalized to the fullest extent of the law.
