The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office identified a man found dead at the Riverside Motel earlier this month as Oleg V. Runov, a 53-year-old Portland man.

The medical examiner’s office said a finding for the man’s cause and manner of death was pending.

Officers were called to the motel, in the Evergreen Shores neighborhood at 4400 Columbia House Blvd., before noon May 2 after a manager entered a room there and found a man unconscious and not breathing.

Kim Kapp, spokeswoman for the Vancouver Police Department, said detectives are waiting on more information, including toxicology tests.

“We’re still investigating it as a suspicious death pending some further information from the medical examiner’s office,” she said.
