Health care agencies team up for housing donation

Ellsworth Springs — Providence Health & Services-Oregon and PeaceHealth made a $35,000 home sponsorship for the Women Build Program through Evergreen Habitat for Humanity.

The donation helped Habitat surpass its $75,000 fundraising goal for its 2016 project of constructing a home for a family in need as part of a 10-home subdivision.

The Women Build Program enables women to help eliminate poverty housing by building homes and communities.

Habitat homes are sold at cost with zero percent loans, and families provide 500 hours of equity by either working on their own home or the home of a neighbor, according to a release from Habitat.
