SPOKANE — A 600-acre wildfire burning Sunday afternoon across rugged terrain in Grant County was not threatening the Sasquatch Music Festival in the Gorge Amphitheater.

The Sunland Fire led the Grant County Sheriff’s Office to issue evacuation orders.

It was burning in dry grass and sage and threatened crops and about 10 homes. Firefighters were attempting to keep it from the many nearby camping and recreational areas.

Concertgoers were not told to evacuate, though high winds closed stages at the venue.
