A 250-unit apartment complex has been proposed in the Bennington neighborhood, according to pre-application documents filed with the city of Vancouver.

Developer Otak wants to build the project at 16516 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, near the new Chick-fil-A restaurant. Plans call for eight multi-apartment buildings with 1.5 parking spaces per unit and a 3,200-square-foot clubhouse with a leasing office and space for residents, the application shows.

The 7.62-acre site, owned by Don Eby of Escondido, Calif., is currently vacant.

A pre-application hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 8 at Vancouver City Hall, 415 W. Sixth St., in the Alder Conference Room.
