BELLINGHAM – An Everson man has been convicted of vehicular homicide for a 2014 crash that killed a motorcyclist.
A Whatcom County jury deliberated for a day before finding Brian Smith, 33, guilty of vehicular homicide and obstructing law enforcement Wednesday.
Smith’s SUV collided nearly head-on with a motorcycle driven by Jason Schuyleman, 38, on Dec. 5, 2014. Schuyleman died that night in surgery.
