Vancouver – PeaceHealth’s chief operating officer is leaving the Vancouver-based organization after two years in the position.

Beth O’Brien, who was hired in August 2014, is leaving PeaceHealth to relocate to West Hartford, Conn., to be closer to her family, PeaceHealth announced Tuesday. Her last day is Dec. 9.

“I am truly grateful to Beth for her leadership as PeaceHealth began a transformational journey several years ago to position our health care ministry for a future focused on community health,” said Liz Dunne, PeaceHealth president and CEO, in a news release. “Additionally, Beth has been instrumental in the successful adoption of CareConnect — our electronic health record that has integrated systems and processes that are improving the delivery of care to our patients and communities.”

Prior to joining PeaceHealth, O’Brien served as senior vice president and group executive officer for Catholic Health Initiatives, with direct oversight for CHI hospitals in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

PeaceHealth will begin an immediate search for O’Brien’s replacement.
