Meadow Homes — The Vancouver Public Works Department’s Speed Monitor Awareness Radar Trailer program is in need of volunteers. The volunteers will help set up trailers around the city to try and slow traffic in residential neighborhoods. The volunteers deploy trailers, participate in a driver training course and speed trailer set-up demonstration, submit to and pass a background clearance and clear an approved driver’s abstract. Volunteers must provide a valid driver’s license, be able to lift up to 40 pounds and be 18 or older. Learn more about volunteering and apply at www.cityofvancouver.us/smartvolunteer, or contact Hailey Heath, city volunteer coordinator, at hailey.heath@cityofvancouver.us or 360-487-8316.
