La Center won its homecoming game against Stanfield of Oregon, overcoming a slow start and a soggy field.

Torrential conditions forced La Center to lean on the run game early, and they failed to answer six points by Stanfield in the first quarter.

As conditions lightened up from worse to just bad, La Center strung together a bevy of short runs and a few long passes to put up 21 points in the second quarter.

The La Center defense held the lead the rest of the night, swarming to tackle their opponents. One play saw five Wildcats sharing a sack and forced fumble, recovered by Jack Hiller to stop a Stanfield drive.
