Jake Thomas has joined The Columbian as the newspaper’s county government reporter. Thomas is a graduate of Lewis & Clark College and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Most recently he worked as a reporter at the Inlander, a weekly newspaper in Spokane.
Johnson Bixby has hired Teresa Smith as a certified financial planner for the firm. She will lead the financial planning, investment, tax and insurance departments. She has served in the financial services industry for 24 years, most recently as supervising principal of financial planning for a firm in based in Kansas. Johnson Bixby has offices in both Vancouver and Longview.
