Letter: Support Battle Ground schools

By Robyn L. Kim, BRUSH PRAIRIE

From the moment that our twin boys began at Prairie High School’s preschool program, I was hooked on the quality of education that they received in spite of the perennial overcrowding at the ancient Glenwood Primary and Lauren Middle schools.

With Clark County reaching a population of a half-million residents much sooner than planned, it is imperative that Battle Ground Public Schools not only catch up with their unhoused students, but anticipate and plan for the explosive growth.

Although we no longer have children in the public school system, the new bond rate of 45 cents per $1,000 assessed value of our home is an investment in our community. Please join me in voting for Battle Ground’s bond request.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
