GRANTS PASS, Ore. — After days of extensive searching, one of two hunters reported missing in the southwest Oregon wilderness was found Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
Trevor Higgins, 21, was located by search crews Tuesday, Curry County Sheriff’s Deputy Tracy Morse said.
Morse said she didn’t know exactly where Higgins had been found.
Higgins was severely hypothermic and was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Coos Bay, Ore., she said.
Crews were continuing to search for his father, 41-year-old Shawn Higgins, Tuesday night, Morse said.
