This has been an angry and divisive election year. It seems that responsibility and care have fallen by the wayside at the top and at the bottom, which is why I support Alishia Topper for 49th District state representative over Monica Stonier.
Alishia’s opponent just parachuted into my district from a neighboring district and is running less on her merits and accomplishments as on her endorsements, some of them truly bizarre.
On the other hand, I have seen Alishia take on problems and solve situations at one end for a young student in one of the schools in her district to help her find clothing, at the other end an older citizen on Medicare needed mental health benefits, take it to Alishia, problem solved.
