Letter: Compare the candidates

The upcoming presidential election has two flawed leading candidates. One can be described as a braggadocio, sometimes potty-mouthed, businessman. The other is a career politician with a congenital trait of prevarication. Mr. Trump wants secure borders. Mrs. Clinton wants open borders. Mr. Trump believes in Americanism. Mrs. Clinton subscribes to globalism. Mr. Trump wants Supreme Court justices who will adhere to our Constitution. Mrs. Clinton wants (her words in the second debate) “justices who understand the way the world really works.” Mr. Trump, though not my choice, won his party’s candidacy without help from the Republican National Committee. Mrs. Clinton won her party nomination by using the Democratic National Committee to subvert Bernie Sanders. Mr. Trump supports the Second Amendment. Mrs. Clinton says she supports the Second Amendment but wants gun control measures like Australia’s. Mr. Trump believes in liberty while Mrs. Clinton believes in equality. Mr. Trump has made business decisions that have created thousands of jobs. Mrs. Clinton’s decisions as Secretary of State have created thousands upon thousands of graves throughout the Middle East.
