Portland – A new study out of Portland State University suggests Oregon has almost fully recovered from the Great Recession.

The Oregonian/OregonLive reported that researchers with the Northwest Economic Research Center concluded that the state is nearing full employment levels and that Oregon’s recent economic growth can be expected to drop off in the coming years.

Already some job sectors are slowing growth. Manufacturing, for example, has already slowed thanks to job cuts at Intel and other production companies.

In the long run, the study found it is unclear what will sustain Oregon’s economy in coming years, but the economy is not faltering. The recovery period has just slowed in the wake of the recession.
