Prep Roundup: Ridgefield volleyball opens season with win

Gama, Bartley shine in 3-0 sweep of Papermakers

The Ridgefield volleyball team got its season off to a solid start, sweeping past Camas 25-15, 25-21, 25-20 on Tuesday.

Bella Gama had 11 digs, five kills and 30 assists to lead the Spudders. Sarena Bartley added 10 digs, nine block and two aces, Maddy Campbell had 21 digs and Madi Harter had 13 kills and 11 digs for Ridgefield.

Keelie Leblanc led the Papermakers with nine kills.

• Jake Eddings, Battle Ground boys golf, the Tigers’ No. 3 golfer made a key birdie on the eighth hole in a 159-160 win over R.A. Long.

• Logan Hardy, Hockinson boys golf, shot a 2-over par 37 to lead the Hawks to a 164-184 win over Mountain View at The Cedars at Salmon Creek.

• Laynie Erickson, La Center volleyball, had 18 kills, 5 digs and 3 blocks in a 3-0 win over Toutle Lake.

• Hannah Lord, Heritage volleyball, had 16 kills and 2 blocks in a 3-0 win over Evergreen.

• Kyle Gomez, Columbia River boys golf, shot a even-par 35 at Lewis River in the Chieftains’ 149-155 win over Camas.

• Nolan Autrey, Woodland boys golf, shot a 1-over 36 at Lewis River in the Beavers’ 186-207 win over Heritage.

• Spencer Tibbits, Fort Vancouver boys golf, shot a 1-under 36 at Tri-Mountain in a match against Ridgefield and Evergreen.

• Hayden Meeker and Keith Lobis, Union boys golf, both posted low scores — Meeker 1-under 34 and Lobis even-par 35 — as Union posted a 143 in wins over Kelso and Mark Morris.

• Jazzy Paulson, Camas girls soccer, had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Sandy of Oregon.

• Hannah Eakins, Washougl girls soccer, center midfielder led a balanced attack as she was one of eight goal scorers in a 8-0 win over Fort Vancouver.
