Nominees for Week 2 prep football players of the week

Here are the nominees for The Columbian prep football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 10.

Athletes cannot be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Tuesday, with results announced in Wednesday’s edition of The Columbian.

AUSTIN ADAMS, BATTLE GROUND: Adams caught 12 passes for 157 yards and 3 TDs in a win over Tualatin.

JACK COLLETTO, CAMAS: Colletto completed 12 of 16 passes for 157 yards and 3 TDs and rushed for 124 yards and 2 TDs in a win over Sherwood.

JEFFREY MAYOLO, LA CENTER: Mayolo rushed for 198 yards and two TDs in a win over Woodland.

SAWYER RACANELLI, HOCKINSON: Racanelli caught 10 passes for 188 yards and 3 TDs in a win over Prairie.

WHITE SOSENE, HERITAGE: Sosene recorded two sacks, assisted on a safety and led the defensive effort in a shutout of Evergreen.
