BATTLE GROUND — Clark College will be providing a brief overview of its new pre-apprenticeship training options at an upcoming Shop Talk program at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mill Creek Pub, 1710 S.W. Ninth Ave.

Designed with local construction trade and industry employers in mind, Clark College’s entry-level pre-apprentice trainings include basic employment skills, essentials for the trades, OSHA 10, first aid and flagger certifications.

The program overview by Tim Cook, the college’s vice president of instruction at Clark College, will include a question-and-answer session to address challenges attendees might be facing with the industry workforce shortage.

Shop Talk costs $15 and includes a breakfast buffet provided by Mill Creek Pub.
