Pedestrian struck on Highway 500 in Vancouver

A pedestrian was injured when struck by a vehicle tonight on Highway 500.

The incident was reported shortly before 9 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the Vancouver highway near Andresen Road. According to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian, the pedestrian was hurt but conscious when emergency responders arrived.

The collision blocked the left lane for about an hour, according to a Washington State Department of Transportation.
