Vancouver – Clark County residents can dispose of unwanted medications at three free collection events later this month in Vancouver and Battle Ground.

The following sites will accept medication from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 22:

• PeaceHealth Southwest’s Memorial Campus, 3400 Main St., Vancouver.

• Kaiser Permanente Cascade Park, 12607 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver.

• Battle Ground Police Department, 507 S.W. First St., Battle Ground.

Controlled substances, such as pain killers, and non-controlled substances, such as over-the-counter medications, will be accepted at the event sites.

A similar event last year collected more than 3,400 pounds of medications from more than 1,700 people.
