YACOLT — A Green Neighbors Recycling Day event will be held next Saturday, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Yacolt Primary School parking lot at 406 W. Yacolt Road. Simultaneously, Yacolt’s annual Spring Clean-Up will be held at the corner of Yacolt Road and Railroad Avenue.

The recycling event is free and allows residents to drop off block foam, electronic equipment, refrigerators, freezers, air conditions, scrap metal and up to five rimless tires per person. A proof of residency may be required.

Business waste won’t be accepted.

The Spring Clean-UP will allow Yacolt residents to drop off garbage, woody debris and scrap metal. Costs are $20 per truck load, $15 for car and trailer loads, and $7 per car load. For more information, visit www.townofyacolt.com.

Household hazardous waste, including paint, pesticides, poisons and automotive fluids won’t be accepted. Those can be disposed of for free at area transfer stations.
