Sixth-grader’s panther wins logo contest

Washougal — Jemtegaard Middle School sixth-grader Hannah Summers won the annual logo contest hosted by the Washougal Schools Foundation in honor of its Student Stride for Education program.

She won for her picture of a green-eyed panther wearing a first-place medal on a necklace noting that its the 14th year of the event.

The program raises money for the foundation during a morning of running events. Hannah’s logo will be used on promotional materials for the race, as well as on T-shirts. She also received $50 for designing the winning logo.
