Clark County — State Fire Marshal Charles Duffy announced that 26 firefighters will graduate from the Washington State Fire Training Academy in North Bend, with the graduation ceremony taking place Friday in Snoqualmie. The 26 firefighters started their 12-week recruit academy on Jan. 26, during which time the recruits learned fire service principles through classroom instruction and hands-on live training. Four of the graduates will serve locally: Michael Barnes with Clark County Fire District 6, Trevor Guay and Matthew Peterson with the Camas-Washougal Fire Department and Matthew Cushwa with Fire District 11.
