North Garrison — Nursing students at Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School are raising money to buy local residents with Alzheimer’s disease iPods and headphones. The iPods will be loaded with music with emotional connections to the residents, with the idea that hearing the music can help awaken their minds. If their goal is met, the students will give the iPods to memory care residents at Glenwood Place Senior Living and The Quarry. The students are looking to raise $10,000, and as of April 13, the students had $3,505 raised.
