A man robbed a Hazel Dell Chase Bank branch Monday, making off with cash before police could locate him.

Law enforcement was called to the bank, 200 N.E. 78th St., at 3:40 p.m. for a reported robbery. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said a man entered the bank, approached a teller’s window and demanded money. No weapon was displayed.

He took the money then left the bank on foot, the sheriff’s office said.

The man was described as white, in his mid-60s and 5 feet 10 inches tall. He had short, white hair, a light mustache and wore a black baseball cap with yellow lettering, dark sunglasses and a dark button-up shirt.

Law enforcement brought a police dog to try tracking the suspect, but were unsuccessful.
