Letter: Trump is weak, should resign

By Mark J. Corcoran, VANCOUVER

The present occupant of the Oval Office disagrees with the Russian, Iran, North Korea sanctions bill. Being too weak to veto the bill, he signs it and calls it unconstitutional. Doesn’t that make the very act of signing the bill a crime?

The Russian prime minister criticizes Congress and, in another sign of weakness, President Trump sides with the Russians and criticizes Congress. Trump took the oath of office to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution and, by default, all American citizens.

Now is the time for Trump to fulfill his duties to the office of the presidency and all American citizens. Since showing weakness in the face of our enemies is Trump’s only response to their actions, it is time for him to step down from the office.
