ARLINGTON, Wash. (AP) — Three police officers received medical attention this week after exposure to heroin smoke.

The Daily Herald of Everett reported Wednesday that the officers from Arlington, Washington were treated Monday after police said a woman smoked heroin in front of them at a hotel, where they were looking for someone with a warrant.

They were taken to Cascade Valley Hospital after suffering from nausea and headaches once they returned to the station, the paper reported (http://bit.ly/2w2yiuI).

They have since returned to duty, and their vehicles and clothing have been decontaminated, along with areas of the police station. The 33-year-old woman who smoked the heroin was arrested and also had a warrant out against her, though she was not the original person police had been looking for.
