Woodland library fundraisers planned

Woodland — There are two fundraisers coming up for the Woodland Community Library in the next five days.

The first is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at America’s Family Diner, 1447 N. Goerig St., Woodland, when Jennifer Hauan, branch manager, will be the guest server. Tips earned will be donated to the Friends of Woodland Community Library Building Fund. For information, call 360-906-4895.

Then, the friends will host a fundraiser starting at 9 a.m. Sunday at the Woodland Moose Lodge, 133 Davidson, Ave., where breakfast will be served for $8, or $5 for children 5 and younger. At 10 a.m. at Horseshoe Lake Park, the friends will host their first-ever bocce ball tournament, where Mayor Will Finn, Police Chief Jim Kelly, Chamber of Commerce Director JJ Burke and Hauan will take turns in a dunk tank.
