VANCOUVER — Nonprofit retailer Goodwill Industries has applied to build a new 25,000-square-foot store near Orchards.

A pre-application submitted to the city of Vancouver on Nov. 21 details that the new location would be at 14201 N.E. Fourth Plain Boulevard, with three loading docks and space for customer donations in the building. It would have 119 parking spots. If approved, it would be the second Goodwill store in the Orchards area. An outlet facility, where goods are sold in bulk before being sent to salvage operations, is 3 miles away at 9025 N.E. 117th Ave.

Baysinger Partners Architecture of Portland is attached to build the new Goodwill. The 2.36-acre property is owned by 438 LLC, based in Vancouver.

Applicants are scheduled to meet next with city planners Dec. 28.
