Coach Mike Cranston called Toryi Midland’s 12 points and 11 blocks her best game in a Titans’ uniform, as it helped Union earn a hard-fought road victory to remain undefeated.

The Titans withstood a 25-8 first-half run by the 2A Monarchs. Not only did Midland block shots, she altered shots, too, Cranston said.

“She changed the inside scoring on their part,” he said.

While he noted it wasn’t Union’s best offensive showing, defense was the difference in the victory.

Courtney Cranston led Union in scoring with 12 of her team-best 14 points in the second half. Mackenzie Lewis added 12.
