Firefighters from at least three agencies are battling a house fire initially reported at 7:23 a.m. Monday, according to an emergency dispatcher.

Fire District 10 responders received multiple calls about the fire earlier this morning. Emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian indicated that the volunteer fire department promptly requested backup.

Everyone in the home, including two elderly residents, made it out of the building safely and declined medical treatment, according to the radio traffic.

As of 8:50 a.m., firefighters were still responding to the blaze, located at 40400 N.E. Christensen Road, according to a dispatcher with Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency.

Clark County Fire & Rescue and Cowlitz County-based firefighters are assisting in the response, the dispatcher said. Clark County Sheriff’s Office also responded to help, according to CRESA.

This is a developing story.
