Cafe helps teen center replace sign

Brush Prairie — Rocksolid Community Teen Center has a new sign, replacing the center’s 16-year-old one, thanks to South Pacific Cafe owners and patrons. The restaurant is a regular supporter of Rocksolid, and one way it raises money for the center is with a lunch club. Each Wednesday during the school year, South Pacific, 15 E. Main St., Battle Ground, donates $1 from every lunch item ordered between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to Rocksolid. Matthew Seise, one of the cafe owners, was driving by Rocksolid and thought the sign needed to be replaced. He told Marcy Sprecher, executive director at Rocksolid, that the restaurant was going to help get a new sign by using lunch club funds. The club continues until the end of the school year, and funds raised will continue to support programs at Rocksolid.
