Girls basketball: Camas 57, W.F. West 53

The Bearcats hit six of their seven 3-pointers in the second half as part of their second-half rally down 17 points, but the Papermakers held on for the nonleague road victory over the 2A Bearcats.

Camas led 34-17 before a sea of 3s began falling for W.F. West. It was a 51-51 game before Marianna Payne’s 3-pointer gave Camas its lead for good once again.

“We were able to come back and keep our composure,” coach Scott Prueninger said.

Payne finished with nine points. Haley Hanson led Camas with 14 and Maggie Wells had 13 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
