YAKIMA — As part of the fundraising campaign for the Children’s Miracle Network, local Wal-Mart employees raised $105,901 in donations this year.

The money will go toward Children’s Village, Yakima’s multidisciplinary therapy center for children with special needs. Children’s Village is operated in part by Virginia Mason Memorial hospital, the designated Children’s Miracle Network care partner for the region.

Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Spokane and Seattle Children’s Hospital are the other two Miracle Network centers in Washington state.

One of the Children’s Village programs that will receive donations is Parent to Parent, a structured support group for parents whose children have received a disability diagnosis.
