PORTLAND — A MAX train passenger was arrested and another was taken to a hospital with apparent non-life-threatening injuries after an encounter between the two led to a stabbing on a Green Line train Tuesday in southeast Portland, police say.

Portland officers responded a little before 9 p.m. to the Division Street Transit Station and found the wounded man, police said. Witnesses told officers the alleged assailant got onto a TriMet bus in the area, that person was found on a bus near Southeast Division Street and 82nd Avenue and arrested.

The suspect has not yet been booked into jail, police said. Police have not yet released the identity of the person accused in the stabbing or any further details on what led to the incident.
