Officers arrested a man Wednesday in connection with a shooting in the Shumway neighborhood reported earlier this month.

Vancouver police detectives, working with U.S. marshals, arrested Andrew W. Adams-Mott, 20, on suspicion of first-degree assault and first-degree robbery. The Vancouver Police Department said he was arrested in relation to an investigation into a Dec. 10 shooting at a home in the 3300 block of F Street.

Police and ambulances were called there after a report of a shooting, and they found a 17-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital and survived.

A suspect fled before police arrived.

Adams-Mott was booked into the Clark County Jail. Police said the investigation was ongoing and additional arrests were anticipated.
